District 8 was one of the original Pennsylvania districts formed when the state officials implemented the current district structure in 1958. It originally included communites in Alleghany County located to the North of the Alleghany river. Following the 1976 international tournament, District 8 was dissolved, and its remaining leagues placed in Districts 4 and 27.
In 2004, a new District 8 was formed as a split from District 23, and encompassed leagues in Berks County. This district was dissolved following the 2019 international tournament, and its remaining leagues were merged into District 23.
In 2025, a new District 8 was formed as a split from District 14 and encompasses 8 leagues in York County, in South Central Pennsylvania. Together these Leagues have made a commitment to encourage and provide, through a structured program, a safe environment for our youth to learn and thrive while they enjoy the game of baseball. Our goal is to implant firmly in the children of the community, the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier individuals.
